Holly is a textile designer for interiors whose work focuses on hand painted and screen printed wallpaper design. Most recently inspired by a vast contrast of historic tapestries and exotic florals, she combines the two themes to create imagery. Holly intertwines detailed illustrations to generate bright, bold designs. Starting all of her work by sketching and layering different motifs, she begins to create a collection of vibrant paintings. Using screen printing as a base for her work, each wallpaper is finished by hand. Her use of gouache paint gives the surface a luxurious tactile quality and brings out an exciting representation of colour. Each design is carefully considered and beautifully drawn echoing Holly’s desires to capture a bespoke essence within her work.
